Biography

Hailing from Chicago, IL, Bible of the Devil is a four-piece rock n' roll metal assault squad specializing in anthemic, hell-raising anthems evoking images of human dementia, conquest, urban debauchery, and violence. With stylistic nods to heavy riff innovators of the 70s and 80s, yet with a modern twist, Bible of the Devil intend their moniker as a euphemism for rock n' roll itself, a lofty declaration of their electric mission.

Having toured extensively throughout the United States and mainland Europe in the years of the new millennium, the band has several releases to their credit including: FIREWATER AT MY COMMAND (2002, Genuflect Records), TIGHT EMPIRE (2003, Raw Deth Records / 2004, Dead Teenager Records) and a split seven inch EP with fellow Chicagoans The Last Vegas (2004, Scarey Records). In 2005, Bible of the Devil unleashed the opus BRUTALITY, MAJESTY, ETERNITY (2005 Scarey Records CD), and expanded their touring endeavors and label interest to Europe. The Windy City metallions followed in 2006 with another split seven inch, this time with The Lord Weird Slough Feg (2006, Threat Records), and released their fourth full-length offering simply entitled: THE DIABOLIC PROCESSION (2006 Cruz Del Sur Music CD).

As Bible of the Devil's first release for Rome, Italy, based Cruz Del Sur Music, THE DIABOLIC PROCESSION addresses the fable of the Children's Crusades as a metaphor for our troubled times, while weaving the chronology of the story into the framework of their most heavy, unsettling, and epic songwriting to date. Deploying a twin-guitar onslaught emphasizing melodic, harmonized leads and pummeling riff attacks, the propulsive rhythms and simultaneously infectious and brutal vocal stylings of Bible of the Devil coalesce to form a veritable rock n' roll metal juggernaut.

In 2008, Bible of the Devil continues their American touring onslaught from their home base of Chicago, with split releases featuring Valkyrie and Winterhawk forthcoming and a new full-length album due to be released in the fall on Cruz Del Sur Music. Cultivating a devastating reputation both live and recorded, Bible of the Devil is truly a band for those who demand their heavy metal sans the heinous prefix "nu".
