|The history of the Hell:On started in Spring 2005. The founders were a guitarist, Alexey Pasko, and a drummer, Oleg Talanov. Following several rehearsals a bass player, Alexander Sitalo, joined the band, as well as a guitarist Anton Pavlenko. Vocals remained vacant for some time. Several candidatures were tested. Finally, this place was given to Alexander Baev. While yet unknown, Hell:On started rehearsing. During the process of song-writing it became clear that the style of the band represented a fusion of thrash, death and progressive metal, which was the consequence of different musical preferences of the participants. In a group discussion HELL:ON was chosen as the name for the band. Demo material was completed, the name was chosen - thus HELL:ON was ready for concert activity. The musicians need not wait for a long time. After a serious selection HELL:ON was chosen to take part in the international festival "Metal Heads Mission 2005" together with such bands as Napalm Death, Parricide, etc. Afterwards HELL:ON took part in various concerts across Ukraine.
Autumn-Winter 2005-2006 was a period of first concerts in Ukraine (Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov, Kherson, etc.)
The band continued to participate in Ukrainian concerts and started its work over first studio album. On October 2006 HELL:ON signed the contract with "Moon Records", according to which the company produced and distributed its debut album "Strong Enough". In support of this album the first Ukrainian tour was organized with participation of such bands as PSILOCYBE LARVAE (RUS), and INFARCT FOCUS (UKR).
In the beginning of 2007 the first video was made. It was directed by one of the most famous Ukrainian clip makers - Viktor Priduvalov
On May 2007 HELL:ON shoot its second video at Lugansk studio - "Hot Jam". On July 2007 the band took part in its second Ukrainian tour with Inexist (RUS), and Slyozy (RUS).
On October 2007 the band participated in "Extreme Metal Fest" with such bands as KREATOR, AMORPHIS, ANATHEMA, and CEMETORY OF SCREAM. The third video for the song "Creatures of My Mind" was made. It was directed by a cultic Ukrainian clip maker - Sergey "Joker" Gogolev.
According to the voting of the major metal webzine of Ukraine - Froster.org HELL:ON was acknowledged as the best metal band in Ukraine.
Winter 2007-2008 started development of the new material. It is necessary to point out participation in international metal fest "Black Winter Days" in St. Petersburg. The third Ukrainian tour of the band started on May 2008 with HATECRAFT (RUS), where HELL:ON introduced the EP "Beyond the Fake".
Summer 2008. The band took part in the international festival "ProRock 2008" together with Rage, Rasta, Devillish Impressions etc.
During the rest of the year the band worked on the full-scale album "Re:Born", which was produced on COMP MUSIC/EMI two weeks before the end of the year, which was not an obstacle to win second place in the rating of Froster.org as "Album of the year".
In spring 2009 the band organized the next tour - "Hell Damage Tour 2009" together with Fragile Art (RUS). This tour was the beginning of a long and fruitful cooperation between these two bands. HELL:ON's first DVD was produced in Spring 2009 and included full range of clips and some live performances of the band. DVD "Hell Damage vol.1" circulation was restricted and it was produced as split with Fragile Art. WIMP promotion, the former manager of HELL:ON and Fragile Art, managed and funded this DVD production.
Summer 2009. The most important event was participation in the international festival "ProRock 2009" together with ARCH ENEMY, SODOM, VADER, LAKE OF TEARS, DEADLOCK, HEAVEN SHALL BURN etc.
Autumn 2009. The second part of "Hell Damage Tour" together with Fragile Art. A long-awaited visit to Europe. Six concerts were performed in Poland during the European tour. Before this tour guitarist Anton Pavlenko abandoned the band. In the first part of the tour the place of the second guitarist was taken by Fragile Art guitarist - Roman Barbun. At the end of the tour the place of the second guitarist was taken by Anton Vorozhcov, who became the permanent member of the band.
According to the vote, which organized by ukrainian metal zine "Division", Hell:on became the best ukranian metal band in 2009!
Together with the new guitarist HELL:ON started working at the new studio album.
In the spring comes a new EP, "In the Shadow of Emptiness". Also in spring band finished a third part of Hell Damage Tour. In the autumn, Hell:on started to work over the full-length album, which will appear in 2011.
