The Who - Trivia

This band's profile is 'invisible', meaning that it's much less prominent on the site - either because it's incomplete, or maybe doesn't entirely fit MS format.

The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, their first year of eligibility; the display describes them as "Prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of World's Greatest Rock Band."
The Who have sold about 100 million records, and have charted 27 top-40 singles in the United Kingdom and United States - as well as 17 top-ten albums, with 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone.
In 1973 Keith Moon couldn't finish a gig, so at a concert Townshend asked the audience: "Can anyone play drums? ? I mean somebody good." A young Thomas Scot Halpin went up to the stage and started playing.
The Who won the first Freddie Mercury Lifetime Achievement in Live Music Award 2006.
