Looking forward for this. I'm booking this them this week.
Any brazilians or south americans? |
Wow...announce festival more than year before? |
| You'll likely need at least a year to scrape together the coin to go... |
| I need to see some more bands before I decide if I'll pay that kind of money. |
| I live in miami, and this is the first metal fest to come here pretty much. I'm saving up and hopefully I get to go. The only problem I'm having is that it's really pricey to go solo. I might need a room mate to help with the price. |
| Excellent idea, only FUCK this is impossibly expensive. i do say that for that price they do need to bring out the big fuckin' guns. i surely wouldn't pay 900$ just for food, 6-7 concerts and the possibility to bump into Uli Jon Roth while on the ship. |
| Just bought my tickets for it. should be awesome. |

| This i going to be great. I can't wait! |
| How the hell can people afford to pay this festival? A cabin alone costs 1000 dollars + 250 administrative fee? And beer is not even included?? |
Yeah, this looks as a very exquisite vacation....I would probably go, if I wouldn't have to fly all way to Miami
However I don't find 1250$ expensive for this kind of trip, which for me it would be a very luxury one. |

Might be able to afford the tickets to the cruise, just not the tickets to get to the US |

now you know how i feel every time hellfest, roadburn, and doom shall rise roll around. |

This is amazing, but only for aristochratic metal fans |
Lol...i just noticed this event exists...awesome |

| Do you think the tickets will sell out soon? If we plan to buy our tickets, say within one month, how likely is it to still get the relatively inexpensive double cabins? |
Linak - 13.09.2010 at 04:06

| And just for the record, the metal cruise was my idea. |
This is for metal royalty only. seems even we have a caste |
| I bought my tickets months back. With the exception of Epica who I can't stand this is pretty much a dream Metal package. |
Iced Earth announced...
commence hatin |
| There's too much Power Metal for my liking! We need more Black, Death and Doom!! |

How sweet this will be...if I could go |
| Hell yes! Some Death Metal to round out the last band announcements. Can't wait! |
| I'd love to go to this. It's such a good idea! |
| It's a fantastic idea because gigs/accommodation/food etc is all right there. It's like a festival on a ship. It also provides bands with more exposure and a larger audience than just a solo gig. |

| What a great idea...too bad 95% of the bands are gay as fuck. 3-4 grand to see Malevolent Creation, Marduk, Arsis and Obituary...Ill pass. Sorry Im just hatin...but godamn how great it would be if there was a decent lineup. Screw all those sleep inducing power metal bands and go all American Death Metal and European Black Metal. Y'know like Deicide Nile Immolation Suffocation Mayhem Immortal or even Cynic. |

There's nothing I can say that can justify how amazing the cruise was. The bands, the fans, the staff of Majesty Of The Seas... No one can speak ill of a single thing. Burton of Fear Factory even got up during dinner in the dining hall on the last night and made a toast in front of everyone and said that this is the greatest festival of all and that he and everyone should be proud of the whole damn thing. Testament wanted it go keep going for two more days and we got the feeling that the bands wanted it to keep going as long as the fans wanted it to.
Kareoke was another highlight. Memebers of bands were singing karaoke with fans and everyone was just having a great time. Search YouTube for some videos, I'm sure you'll fnd them.
More details about next year will be announced soon as far as we've heard from the promoter through the grapevine. |
