Who cares about death metal, if you can have Ziltoid The Omniscient!? I hope this show gets recorded. ZTO would be reason enough for me to travel to Finland, but it seems like I'm gonna have an internship until the middle of July  |

Ziltoid is more "metal" than all of the worlds DM bands put together... 
Btw, anyone here has some info about the show? All i know so far, is that it's going to be filmed and that it will be something very special... |

I come from Italy just 'cause I cannot miss Devin!
Any suggestion about some cheap and close to the place of festival accomodation?

When I went in 2005 and 2008, I stayed in Rastila camping, here is a link: http://www.hel.fi/hki/Liv/en/Etusivu But in 2008 when iI got there it seemed like they had invented some kind of a limit for tent spaces and that limit had just been crossed (although the place was like more than half empty), but I solved it by just walking in and pitching my tent in the bushes in a more wild spot of the camping area  I think a reservation is needed for "legal" camping though. It's definately a hell of a lot more fun there than in cheap hostels, a lot of metalheads stay there and party all night long. |

Thanks but the camping area is soooo far away from Kaisaniemi!
It would be perfect if I had a car, but I get there by plane! :-D
So I think I need something more central in Helsinki...
I found an hostel, ACADEMICA SUMMER HOSTEL, I hope it will be fine!

| Ok if you already found something, but just to mention the distance isn't a problem at all, for the metro station is just next to Kaisaniemi park and it will take some 10 minutes with it to get exactly to Rastila and you wouldn't have to miss any bands because the metro runs even long after the bands have finished. |

However I'd have to take camping equipment with me on the plane... metal detector would not like it!!! :-P

I agree with you on Kamelot. Imo they suck as well. But saying nevermore sucks? Coming from someone who thinks Deathstars and Lifelover are brilliant is a bit rich imo  |
