German metallers Leaves' Eyes have issued the foolowing update on their MySpace blog:
"Leaves' Eyes will play the last two shows of this year with Dutch session bassist JB van der Wal (Aborted, Dr. Doom). The shows are taking place at Metal Female Voices Fest VIII in Belgium and at Indian Music Conference in Goa. JB was already playing Bloodstock and Summer Breeze Open Air as well as the last US tour together with Leaves' Eyes. Moreover, Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity parted ways with former bassist Alla Fedynitch for personal reasons."
The brand new album of Atrocity - featuring Yasmin Krull - will be called After the Storm, and it will be released in September.
According to a press release, "this is, without doubt, a very special album based on a cooperation between the band and guest female singer, Yasmin. Admirers of the legendary and just re-released Calling the Rain EP won't have to wait any longer. Atrocity is surely the only metal band which attracts fans from the metal scene as well as from ethno, folk and world-music genres.
Alex Krull states: "Fans and musicians of the band have been waiting much too long for the continuation of Calling the Rain. Now time has finally come and we just can't wait to let our fans hear and enjoy the new songs. We are incredibly happy with the result. The songs contain great rhythms, the music is sounding very special and organic, moreover, the energetic vocals together with the mythological based lyrics convey a magic atmosphere. Well, once more it's time to take blinkers off! Just listen, and it will take you away!"
According to a band update, Mathias Röderer is no more playing for Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity for family reasons. Matze has been a part of Atrocity from the beginning (1985) and did music with the band for more than 20 years. Both bands wish him the best for his future!
Sander van der Meer from Dutch death metallers Cypher will take up the place on second guitar for Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity.
On November 13th the Beauty & The Beast tour starts! Atrocity will play special Werk 80 shows on that great festival tour!
While the band is preparing for the European run there is some great news to be announced: Atrocity are recording a new record. It will be a project album featuring frontman Alex Krull's sister Yasmin, and it will be out next year.
The collaboration with Yasmin started previously on Atrocity's legendary Blut album (1994) where Alex's sister was doing guest vocals. In 1995 the mystical and very special Atrocity featuring Yasmin Calling The Rain mini album was released, and became a success. Calling The Rain contained mainly acoustic songs which was a completly new aspect of making music for a death metal band in that time. As no other band was playing that kind of music, it was simply called Ethno Metal.
German metallers Leaves' Eyes have posted the following post on the band's Myspace page a few days ago:

I'm currently at Mastersound Studio in Germany tracking the drums for the new Leaves' Eyes record! These songs have a great epic vibe. I feel like I'm really expending as a musician!"
Seven will take part of the '08 Sabian "Show No Mercy" tour featuring also Ray Luzier (Korn), Chris Pennie (Coheed & Cambria).
Leaves' Eyes and Atrocity have issued the following update:
Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes are sorry to inform you that Nick Barker cannot continue to play with the bands due to a drastic change in his private life. The bands wish Nick all the best in his future life and we hope that he will feel better very soon! Drummer Peter Hornung stepped into the breach for Nick at short notice for the shows at the Gottlieb Daimler Stadium and Rockmania Festival, so that the band was able to play the shows.
In other news, both bands have also stated that the already planned tour in China and Taiwan unfortunately had to be postponed until further notice. It hopefully will take place in autumn this year. Both bands are deeply touched by the momentary situation in the disaster areas and feel deep sympathy for all the people involved.
The new drummer of Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes is Nick Barker, who was the former drummer of Cradle Of Filth, Dimmu Borgir and Testament.
Alex Krull: "It's with great pleasure that we can announce Nick Barker is joining the Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes family! We always were great fans of his way of drumming and we are happy that we will kick some ass in the future together! Nick was our No.1 choice! When we heard he would join us we invited him right away!"
Here's a first statement of Nick Barker about joining the two bands:
Nick, how long do you know Alex and the guys of Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes?
Nick: "I've known Atrocity for many years, I think the first time we met was on the Deicide/Atrocity tour in 1992 when I was the drum tech for support band Cancer, and since that time we've always ran into each other on the European summer festival circuit during the years that followed. Whenever I would play in the Stuttgart area with any of my previous bands, some of the guys would always be there and show their support."
