Norwegian metallers Chrome Division have issued the following announcement about lineup changes and working on their new album: "When a bottle of Jack is dry, out & empty, you have to replace it with fresh new ones in order for the party to keep on going!"
"Bulldogs Unleashed", the new video from Norwegian metallers Chrome Division, can be viewed at this location. The clip was filmed with director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company.
"Bulldogs Unleashed" comes off the band's forthcoming album, 3rd Round Knockout, which will be released on in Europe on May 6 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Norwegian doomsday rock n rollers Chrome Division featuring notorious Dimmu Borgir singer Shagrath on guitar, just finished the work on the bands new album.
The yet untitled effort will contain the following tracks, among others: "Unholy Roller", "Fight", "Zombies & Monsters", "Bulldogs Unleashed" and "Join The Ride".
Furthermore the album will feature the first recordings of new vocalist Shady Blue (better known as Athera from Susperia) who replaced Eddie Guz in 2009. The third Chrome Division release was recorded at Marius Strand Studio, Oslo and is set to be unleashed in the first half of 2011.
Guitarist Shagrath has issued the following update on behalf of Chrome Division:
"Hail all you Rock 'n' Rollers out there! We thought it would be the right time for a little update from Hell, to all the Chromers out there. A lot of things are happening in the Chrome Camp these days, and not everything is ok for some...
First and foremost, we've decided to part ways with Eddie Guz, the voice of Chrome since 2005. He's out, due to lack of dedication and commitment to the band. Since the band is more active than ever, it would only slow down the tempo of achieving their future goals. This decision needed to be done for the benefit of Chrome Division. Eddie Guz will still remain a friend and a drinking buddy, but sometimes friendship and music don't always blend easily together. But we ensure our fans that there is no need to worry.
"Booze, Broads And Beelzebub", the forthcoming sophomore album from Chrome Division, the Norwegian five-piece featuring Dimmu Borgir frontman Shagrath (a.k.a. Stian Thoresen), is scheduled for release in North America on August 19, 2008 and in Europe on July 18, 2008 via Nuclear Blast Records.
The album was recorded at Studio Fredman in Sweden during January 2008 and contains the following cover art and tracks:
01. The Second Coming (Intro)
02. Booze, Broads and Beelzebub Listen]
03. Wine Of Sin
04. Raven Black Cadillac
05. Life Of A Fighter
06. The Devil Walks Proud
07. Hate This Town
08. The Boys From The East
09. Doomsday Riders
10. Lets Hear It
11. Sharp Dressed Man
12. Bad Broad (Good Girl Gone Bad)
MrRock.net recently conducted an interview with Dimmu Borgir frontman Shagrath about his side-project Chrome Division (in which he plays guitar). A few excerpts from the chat:
MrRock.net: As a musician, how important is it for you to show all of your musical sides, and not just be considered a black metal musician?
Shagrath: Do you mean me personally?
MrRock.net: Yes.
Shagrath: Well, you know, I'm satisfied with my role in Dimmu. I create all of the music for Dimmu, which people probably don't know much about — they think that I'm just singing, but I also create a lot of the music for Dimmu Borgir. But a lot of the people don't see it like that. They see me more as a singer, but I've also played guitar for many years, I play keyboards for years.
According to the Troll(where lex play) website he have formed a new band:
Lex has teamed up with Shagrath, and a few more musicians to form "CHROME DIVISION". A new rock/metal project. Similar in style to bands like Monster Magnet, Spiritual Beggars etc. They will release a MCD this spring along with a video.
