Soilwork have officially announced on their Facebook page the recruitment of Bastian Thusgaard as their new drummer. This news doesn't really come as a surprise since the twenty-five-year old drummer has been performing with the band since Dirk Verbeuren left to join Megadeth last year. It seems that the past ten months have been a prolonged trial period for the young drummer, and now he's officially in the band. In addition to having played for The Arcane Order, Thusgaard was also a student of Verbeuren's.

The band, led by founding vocalist Lee Dorrian (ex-Cathedral, ex-Napalm Death) and guitarist Tim Bagshaw (Serpentine Path, ex-Electric Wizard), has recently recruited bassist Leo Smee (ex-Cathedral) and drummer Alex Thomas (ex-Bolt Thrower).
