Dutch symphonic metal band Epica just announced an EP called The Solace System scheduled to be released on September 1st through Nuclear Blast. The new EP features six tracks that didn't make the cut on the latest album, The Holographic Principle. Furthermore, the cover artwork for the EP by anime-master Davide Cilloni has been unveiled as well as an animated music video for the title track "The Solace System". Check it out below.

"The Ultimate Principle Tour" will find Epica promoting their latest record, The Holographic Principle, which came out last year. The first show starts on August 31st in Boston and is set to be completed with a final performance in New York on September 29th.

Epica are returning to North America for the North American Principle Tour. For this trek, the symphonic band is presenting their new album, The Holographic Principle, and is taking Fleshgod Apocalypse, Arkona and The Agonist with them for the ride. The first three dates will see Germany's Xandria as a replacement for Arkona. The tour kick off will be on November 4th in Québec City and will conclude December 3rd in Worcester, MA.
