i think they sound more like "normal" growls instead of the usual shit |

| I'm not gonna press that "like" button cuz I already like the page "OLD children of Bodom" so it will be total hyocrisy if I did....I'll just wait for the Youtube I'm not so excited about it anyway |
| Well, fuck Facebook in the face, the song has been available on the Youtube since the beginning of January and it's... meh. I liked Children Of Bodom some time ago and I have no problems with listening to their old stuff, but this "new-old" stuff sounds worse than the "old-good" stuff. "Blooddrunk" obviously sucked too. |

| Not that good, but not nearly as shitty as I anticipated. |

| Ugh, they seem to keep getting worse and worse |

| Not too bad, but nothing all that great, which kind of makes me nervous because the first single released by Bodom tends to be one of the "better" songs on the album. I guess it has a nice melody, but its nothing all that creative or dynamic. |

Pretty much my view of it as well. I actually quite liked it, but my expectations were extremely low beforehand, so it wouldn't be very difficult for it to be better than what I was expecting it to be like. It is better than most of what was on "Blooddrunk", and some of what was on "Are You Dead Yet?". If this is the weakest, or one of the weakest songs on the album, then the new album might just be decent. It certainly wont be a return to the classic form of the first 4 albums, but it could be a step back in the right direction after the last one. xD |

| They've become some endearing hybrid of note-y neoclassical metal and the chill rock'n'roll vibe to me. song wasn't bad. |
| The song is great if you compare it to Blooddrunk songs but not that good if you compare it to hatebreeder. I think that COB is on their way to the better and I have high hopes about the album (hopefully even better than are you dead yet) |

| I'm not going to watch the video, incase I cringe. Anyway, I guess its not shocking, but its no where near good either. I'm one of many who hopes they'll go back to their roots someday. |

| I find it immensly boring |
| Guitar solo sounded very Steve Vai xD |
so boring |
| Slow and boring. And vocals are really bad. |

What a shitty Vocaling
Harsh |

| The song itself has some potential... but those vocals are awful! (even more than the usual...) |
| Worst solo ever. I'm still not too sure about the song yet. |

"Worst ever" is probably going a bit overboard, but the solo is the worst part of the song for me. A bit more imagination in that section, and the song might have been good instead of just average. |

Sorry I do tend to exaggerate. I should've said "Worst Bodom Solo Ever". I just hate everything about it, including the rhythm in the background. The solo just doesn't suit the song at all. |

Lol yeah, I actually laughed a bit when the solo came up because of how poor it was. The rest of the song is quite bad too so it's not like it was a huge step down. |

Yep, the rhythm in the background of the solo doesn't suit the song, so no matter what solo was played over it, it would have sounded lame regardless. A good section there could have elevated the song, instead it brought it down. Not that its a great song to start with, but it was decent at least. My only hope for the album is that this is the weakest, or one of it's weakest songs. The song wasnt as bad as I was expecting, but still quite a way off their best stuff. |

They never used to release the best songs beforehand so I hope for the best. |

Isn't it what happens in tons of songs? I understand that some people pay attention to guitar solos and enjoy this kind of thing but I see guitar solos more as a nuisance to atmosphere, flow and consistency. Most of the time, I think is doesn't bring more to a song but bring it down instead. |

That's arguable. Not untrue but arguable. If you listen to someone like Chuck Schuldiner, his solos always add to the song. I would say that it's about 50/50. Most artists and bands and what-not do solos either because they feel they "have to" or because they want to show off. A good solo builds up a song the same way a vocal line does. The solo in Was It Worth It (I believe) was one they felt they "had to do". I cringe when the solo comes up. |

Some solos are indeed enjoyable and emotional but too many times they feel as pointless wankery to me. It's not that I can't appreciate a well-done guitar solo but I'm not fond of them in general. However, usually, it's not annoyance but something I don't really notice or pay attention to because I don't really care.
And, to tell the truth, most music I'm listening to nowadays doesn't feature guitar solos at all or very few of them.
As far as I can remember, I've never been someone who pays attention to guitar solos. |
