The Unguided - Working On Debut Album

The Unguided - the new band of former Sonic Syndicate vocalist Richard Sjunnesson - are currently working on their debut album.

The as-yet-untitled debut album is being recorded at The Abyss Studio in Pärbly, Sweden with producers Jonas Kjellgren and Peter Tägtgren. The album is expected to hit stores in late 2011 through Despotz Records.

The limited edition of the album will contain a dozen tracks. Confirmed song titles so far include: "Phoenix Down", "Serenade of Guilt", "Iceheart Fragment", "Inherit the Earth" and "Collapse my Dream".

The band also features ex-Sonic Syndicate singer Roland Johansson on guitar and vocals, together with Richard's brother, Roger Sjunnesson, who also plays guitars in - you guessed it - Sonic Syndicate, on both guitars and keyboards. The line-up on the album is completed by bassist Henric Carlsson (Cipher System, ex-Nightrage) and drummer John Bengtsson, known from his work in - pause for dramatic effect - Sonic Syndicate.

One of the guest musicians on the album is rumored to be Blind Guardian vocalist Hansi Kürsch.

Only Inhuman was quite decent, hope they can pursue that sound. Might even start listening to them again.

Eden Fire or GTFO. There are enough generic metalcore bands around.
