French metallers Gojira have revealed L'Enfant Sauvage (The Wild Child) as the title of their Roadrunner Records debut. The album, which features 11 tracks, is scheduled for release on June 26th in North America.
Singer/guitarist/songwriter Joe Duplantier explained the album title: "When you become a musician, you don't have a boss telling you what to do so you have to be very responsible. With freedom comes responsibility so I'm asking myself, 'What is freedom? What does it mean to me?' L'Enfant Sauvage reflects on that. There's no answer though. There's just life and questions."
A special collector's package of L'Enfant Sauvage will feature two bonus tracks and a double-colored vinyl version of the record, along with an exclusive t-shirt.

| Hmm... the title for track 7 definitely has me wondering if it'll be about the part in the Bhagavad Gita where Krishna, an avatar of the Hindu God Vishnu, reveals his true form to the warrior Arjuna: as an eternal God, with an infinite number of heads and limbs, with the world seeming to disappear into his various mouths. When Arjuna asks Krishna who his true form is, Krishna replies "Time I am, the destroyer of all: I have come to consume the world." Kala is the Sanskrit word for time, and knowing Gojira's spiritual lyrics, I'd say it's a definite possibility. |

| Well the label change means that I most likely will finally see a Gojira album in a store. So might check this one out. |
