23:59 - Netzach Czerny, I get your point but I'd say the same about "Ashes"... It just gets too droney and gaze-ish in sections. Limbs and Not Unlike the Waves are awesome though... The Mantle has this "whiskey fueled regret"-feel I adore
23:55 - Netzach Btw, AMA on Reddit with A.A Nemtheanga if anyone's interested [link]
23:51 - Czerny Reiter Ashes Against the Grain & Marrow take the cake for me. The Mantle has some sections where it loses steam and gets all too mellow.
23:45 - Overrwatcher The Mantle is beautiful. It's not technical or experimental, it's just a well-crafted album made with simple instruments. I show it to non-metalhead friends and they love it.
Finnish symphonic metallers Nightwish have released today the official theatrical trailer for the movie Imaginaerum and now you can watch it below.
Imaginaerum "tells the story of an elderly composer, Tom, who suffers from severe dementia. As he has had the disease for years and has regressed into childhood, he remembers practically nothing from his adult life. His music, friends, all his past including the memory of his daughter are a blur in his fragile mind. All he has left is the imagination of a ten year old boy. As he drifts away into coma, it seems impossible to get back what he has lost. Or is it?"
Imaginaerum will have its premiere at Hartwall Arena, Helsinki, in Finland, on November 10th, 2012. The soundtrack will be released on November 9th, 2012. Here is the tracklist:
01. Find Your Story
02. Orphanage Airlines
04. Spying In The Doorway
05. A Crackling Sphere
08. Hey Buddy
09. Deeper Down
10. Dare To Enter
11. I Have To Let You Go
12. Heart Lying Still
13. From G To E Minor
Well I doubt it's going to revolutionise the world of cinema, but for what it is (a film based on a story by, produced by, and featuring members in acting roles and a score based upon music by a metal band), it doesn't look too rubbish; it could yet be okay, which would be mildly impressive.
