Alaskan - Writing New Material

Canadian sludge metal band Alaskan is currently working on new material. The band has confirmed that it is working on a new LP and a split. The new album has been tentatively penned for release in the second half of 2013. This will be the band's second album and follow up to the debut effort Adversity; Woe released last year.

In a short update, the band posted the following: "We are busy jamming and writing new material. Sorry for the lack of updates. Things are coming along really well for the new LP. Should be written and recorded by end of summer 2013. We're also writing material for a split we're looking forward to doing."

This is great! "Adversity; Woe" was pretty good, so I'm very curious to see what they come up with next.

yeah man
I'm sure Tanner will be excited. Hoping the quality will be better than Adversity: Woe. It was a good album, but could have been much better
