Centimani - Part Ways With Vocalist And Keyboardist

US melodic death metal band Centimani seems to have begun the new year on the wrong foot. The band has parted ways with their vocalist, Kyle Francis. The split has been amicable with the band seeking not to replace him but rather share the vocalist responsibilities amongst the remaining members. In addition to this, come February, the band's keyboardist - Stu "Mouren" Puls will also be leaving the band.

The band posted the following update which also includes news of a new album in the works: "It has been quite a while since we have posted an update on the status in the Centimani camp, and seeing as how it is a new year, it seems appropriate that we let all of you know what 2013 holds for us.

Unfortunately, we must begin with tidings of a rather depressing nature. Kyle Francis will no longer be the vocalist for Centimani. Both parties have decided unanimously that we are heading in a different artistic direction, the mold of which Kyle no longer fits. Vocal duties will now be split amongst the remaining members of the band and no permanent vocalist will be brought on. We retain nothing but good will in regards to Kyle, who still remains our good friend and brother; his impression on Centimani eternal in his sterling performance on Aegaeon. We wish him well in everything that he does in the future.

Secondly, Stu "Mouren" Puls has expressed his desire to resign from Centimani as of the end of February. He feels that he can no longer maintain his status in the band due to his hectic personal life. Stu is our original keyboardist who has been with us since the beginning, and his involvement in the shape of our sound will be missed immensely. This news is extremely disappointing for us but the break is absolutely amicable and we all understand Stu's predicament as well as his reasons for leaving. Centimani will now be looking for a full-time, replacement keyboardist, and auditions will be held immediately.

The beginning of 2013 brings with it some unfortunate developments but also some exciting opportunities. Change is never easy, but we nonetheless remain optimistic in the face of the new direction that we plan to take our music. We are currently working on new material for our next studio album which will be a concept piece, the details of which to be released at a later date. We hope to enter the studio by the end of the year. Also, we are currently working on our first tour to support the new album Aegaeon but obviously, in the face of these lineup changes, this has been delayed until we can hire a new keyboardist and train them to the point of being live-ready.

We appreciate all of your support in light of these difficulties and we promise that, upon our resurgence, we will be a tighter, more cohesive band because of it. Stay tuned for more news."
