21:48 - 3rdWorld Unearthly good stuff. Vocals and songwriting couldn't be any better. Reminds me of Protest The Hero/Mastodon but much more fun than either of those. [link]
21:13 - !J.O.O.E.! Totally forgot what that album even sounds like lel. I think I recall it being good though.
21:12 - 3rdWorld I know this is something Joe shared in last year recs thread. But seriously, this is one of the best fucking album titles I've come across. Artwork isn't shabby either. Very epic-y. [link]
21:09 - Netzach Duck me sideways, Bölzer's new shared track is awesome: [link] (submitted it as news too)
21:07 - 3rdWorld Very nice. But sounds a bit dry to me could've used some cymbals. Or Maybe thats the desolate sound they were going for.
21:06 - !J.O.O.E.! Actually a release from last year but oh well.
21:00 - !J.O.O.E.! Immense funeral / death-doom [link] feels like this year was sorely in need of something like this.
Later this month, The Amenta's new opus Flesh Is Heir will be released for public consumption. It will be the band's third album and follow-up to 2008's n0n. The band also released a new EP, Teeth, last month as a taster of the album. For now, you can preview the new material from Flesh Is Heir on the video below.
Flesh Is Heir will be released on March 23rd in Australia through EVP Recordings and March 25th in the rest of the world via Listenable Records. The Amenta will also soon release a new video for the song "Teeth" on the 12th of March.
Lyrically speaking, "the album deals with the two warring sides of the human psyche: The Obliterate (which desires to be subsumed and therefore free) and the Realist (which embraces pain as a life truth)."

01. Flesh Is Heir
02. Ego Ergo Sum
04. A Womb Tone
05. Obliterate's Prayer
