Judas Priest - Working On New Album

Metal gods Judas Priest are busy in the studio working on new music for their upcoming new album. While there is promise to reveal more soon, the forthcoming album will be their first since co-founder K.K. Downing left in 2011 and Richie Faulkner filled in. You can also expect a new live DVD/Blu-ray release from the band from their Epitaph Tour.

Here's the message from the band: "The guys are working in the studio on their new album - and all is going is really well! We will be releasing the live 'Epitaph' DVD & Bluray soon - release date to be announced shortly!"

"We're keeping the sites quiet for now whilst the guys are in the studio - more details to be announced soon!"

The band's latest album was the theatrical Nostradamus released in 2008. What will these heavy metal legends offer next?

Last time I heard he was writing an autobiography which tells about being wrongly accused and sentenced for attempted rape against a teenage girl he was teaching to play drums who had some kind of mental disorder....but that was a few years ago.

Anyway, I'd love it if the new Priest was a return to the old days. I didn't care for Nostradamus at all. I just couldn't get into it. It just wasn't Priest. They should stick to their original hard rock / metal mixture from the 70's and 80's that made them legendary in the firs tplace. I mean, I loved Painkiller, but that was different. They stuck to their tried and true formula, but it was all pissed off and hard core after being dragged into court over a bunch of bullshit. A true masterpiece that one.

I don't agree with you, dear "Asshole". I enjoyed Nostradamus quite a lot, and very much wish to hear another album with similar music.

If they can compose something as good as Angel of Retribution or Nostradamus, it will be a pleasure to listen their new record..

Nostradamus was a really bad album, I really don't understand people who wouldn't mind Priest recording something along those bad lines

Personally i think that "nostradamus", "generation swine" and "st. anger" are the worst three albums that I have ever purchased (any genre). "angel of retribution" was good except "loch ness". priest needs to steer clear of having aspirations for broadway. it's not their thing.

Yep, Angel Of Retribution was great and Nostradamus was an unlistenable pile of fail. They have the potential to do either.

With a touch of humour... This is all you need, right here, in particular 3-6, 9-16, 19-23, 28+ (plus "Eat Me Alive" and "Fight for Your Life"/ "Rock Hard, Ride Free"). And/Or maybe... just try their videos, although "Beyond the Realms of Death" is unmissable. It's currently on their myspace player

The last show they did from the Epitaph tour was in London last August I believe, and that's the show they recorded for the upcoming DVD.
