Russian alternative metallers The SLoT have quite a lot to offer in the way of news. First and foremost, the band has started recording their next album, their eighth studio album overall and their sixth of new material. This still untitled follow up to 2011's F5 will be the product of an experiment conducted by The SLoT, who have decided to crowd fund the album. Donations can be made here (though users should be warned that the site is in Russian, naturally).

The band just announced the upcoming release of a second single from this album. This single, entitled "Поколено," will be unveiled on May 13th; it follows the first single, "Ангел или демон" ("Angel Or Demon"), which was written as the theme song for a Russian television show of the same name. A video for "Ангел или демон" was released several weeks ago, and can be viewed below.

In related news, vocalist Nookie's first solo album, announced last year, has finally been released. The album, entitled Живы!, is available on iTunes.
