Newsted, the new band led by former Metallica, Voivod and Flotsam & Jetsam bassist Jason Newsted, is the latest act confirmed for this year's edition of Gigantour. Also scheduled to appear on the bill are headliners Megadeth, along with Device, Hellyeah, and Death Division. More details will be announced soon including the dates of the tour.

Newsted stated: "Hey Newsted metalheads! I am so excited to announce that Newsted will be joining Megadeth this summer on Gigantour 2013! More details coming later this week. Can't wait to crush it this summer!"

Newsted released their debut EP Metal in January and will release a full length studio album later this year.
