Jorn has one of those great voices I could listen to for days, but why do all of his albums sound exactly the same? I get more excited when he makes a guest appearance on another band's album than when he makes a Jorn release.

In Masterplan and Avantasia it seems they both know how to utilize Jørn's voice even better than Jørn does himself. With his solo-albums we always know exactly what to expect. So far I think this formula has been working well for him, and if that formula is still contained on Traveller, then that's perfectly fine by me. Just like you, though, I wouldn't mind some experiments or fresh ideas from him every once in awhile.

The Shape 1973
You can hear slight Dio influences in the guitars and vocals, but once again a lack of any memorable choruses.

Agree with Iamawalker, he is better when people write for him.
