Swedish outfit Deathstars has announced that the upcoming March/April European tour Claws Through Europe has been postponed and rescheduled. The reason for this is that the band's upcoming album has been pushed back too. All the information about the new album including title, tracklist, cover and release date are yet to be revealed at this point.

Fortunately, the tour will be extended to run for a longer period and to cover more cities across Europe, and the tickets bought will remain valid for the new dates which should be announced shortly.

What the fu.ck is taking them so long with the new album?
I mean, I do love the band, but let's face it - their music isn't that complex & perfectionistic it would nee to take 5 years before releasing smth new.

Well yes and no, it depends on what the new album will sound like Tho Deathstars isn't my usual cup of... metal, I have to say that Termination Bliss is some f*cking masterpiece ! Hence Night Electric Bight was a bit of a letdown for me... I'd love to enjoy a true sequel to Termination Bliss instead of another average album. So I hope they're going to use this extra time to bring us a blasting piece of metal (or I'll definitely forget about this band).

Wouldn't we all But I have a bad feeling that isn't the case. The last time I saw Deathstars live (march 2012) they seemed really off onstage, like someting was wrong in the band. Then the silence came, as their new album was suppose to be released at the end of 2011? 2012? I don't even know by all the postponing.

There are no news about tracklisting, album cover, .... nothing. That worries me. We got METAL and Death Is Waster On The Dead and that was it. Both songs being more NEN-oriented that TB.

It would be a blast if we'de get another TB #2 album, but as I said, something doesn't fit here. That's why I'm so anticipated when it comes to it.

Am I the only one that thinks that Synthetic Generation is way better than TB?

Not the only one. I actually don't like Termination Bliss that much and think Synthetic Generation is their best by far.

What I expect is something more let's say.. 'opened for masses' = decline in quality. More pop oriented album. Nevertheless I hope for the best, their live shows are beast and I enjoyed them very much.

New Tour Dates announced @their official website & @their Facebook profile

However, still no news around the upcoming album....

The tour was postponed for 6 months, I'm glad there is still some movement, but the silence is killing me slowly....

I would if I could, but I gotta say (even thouh I've checked quite some industrial bands and bands of similar style) nothing sounds quite as exciting as Deathstars. I dunno where some comparisons from haters sometimes come, but so far I haven't found anything remotely close to Deathstars & their Termination Bliss sound.

Damn. I thought they would postpone the tour with like 1-2 months. Not fucking October! Anyway, I got my ticket - again - right away. But when do they release the album??? I've been waiting five years for that bastard!

I like Synthetic Generation a lot too but sometimes it gets too much into "techno" or "electro" or whatever you call that and that's not my cup of tea. On that point TB is stronger, faster, better. I agree tho that NEN is a pretty average and bland sounding album except for a few tracks like Tchernograd or Opium.
