Well that is pretty damn badass. Lets hope the album will be worthy of such artwork.

It probably won't be.
R Lewis - 15.05.2014 at 21:45
I'll go counterflow, but God, I hate this. It's like something you could expect from a crappy power metal band.
Lord_Agony - 15.05.2014 at 21:48
WOW if this doesn't look awesome i don't know what else does
lets hope the album turns out quite as good
Mr. Cheeky - 15.05.2014 at 21:58
It kinda look awesome at first but after awhile it just looks a bit weird.
Actually the more I look into it, it kinda like the painkiller (and Angel Of Retribution?) but with feather wings rather than metal ones.
Dentura - 15.05.2014 at 23:20
Looks really cool! I hope the actual music is really good too.

Exactly my thoughts on it.
Jaeryd17‍ - 16.05.2014 at 00:22
I can't tell if this looks kinda cool, or incredibly cheesy. Maybe a bit of both.
Mattybu - 16.05.2014 at 00:28
Some potential, I like the tornadoes in the background, but the guy in the middle kind of looks a little dumb.
SSM - 16.05.2014 at 00:36
"I'm everything and very powerful" cliche.
LeChron James - 16.05.2014 at 02:55
Looks like a cover to a Blade movie. Sorta.

"I'm everything and very powerful" cliche.

AKA Judas Priest in a nutshell.

Totally agree.

That is a woeful cover.

Really not all that surprising, as Priest's influence on power metal has been monumental

In this case it's Priest copying current trends though.

Oh wait they always did this!

Ehhh, not entirely, considering they helped create some of said trends in the first place. Anyway, I'd expect nothing less in their album artwork, that basically sums up everything the band's about to me and I think it fits its theme quite well. Just hoping the music delivers as well, from the sound of the track that was already released, I think it'll be at least decent.
Timelord - 16.05.2014 at 07:17
Is the concept of this album about some storm chaser demon? I see a couple of F-2's in the background.
erat - 16.05.2014 at 14:47
More like a video game imo :p
!J.O.O.E.! - 16.05.2014 at 14:48
Looks like every X-Man piled into one person. Pretty awful, imo.
Angelic Storm - 16.05.2014 at 15:02
The quality of the artwork itself is actually very good, but the image is very generic and cheesy, and not in a charming way like their 80's covers were! lol It's far from being a terrible cover, it just lacks any imagination whatsoever... now, where's H.R. Giger when you need him?
Dima - 16.05.2014 at 15:05
Knowing that they designed this, stood back, observed and said 'yes we are proud of this creation' bothers me.
Troy Killjoy - 16.05.2014 at 17:50
The only way they can justify this cover art is if the album sounds like Painkiller.

I wish it was, but what they have let us hear so far couldn't be further from the badassery of Painkiller.
Cynic Metalhead - 16.05.2014 at 19:01
Typical Amon Amarth cover.

All the mixture of colours looks exactly like Amon Amarth.

...and like virtually every power metal album. It isn't a Viking warrior, he doesn't have a sword, and there are no allusions to Norse mythology.
Cynic Metalhead - 16.05.2014 at 20:55
^ Well, duh Troy.

I related to AA* cover because of b'ground colour mixture which quite relate with AA artworks. It doesn't mean you gotta have to have sword or norse mythology to prove "yeah, now it's perfectly Amarth art".

* Deciever Of The Gods album.
Troy Killjoy - 16.05.2014 at 21:05
I'm just saying if you're going to call it a "typical Amon Amarth cover" it should at least have something more in common than a couple of colors that also happen to be extremely common within pretty much every genre of metal aside from black metal.
The Shape 1973 - 16.05.2014 at 22:14
Don't judge a book by its cover. Cover looks amazing, clips I have heard so far have by shite.
maged918 - 18.05.2014 at 10:43
This is bad. The single is bad. This band is getting really shitty.
