With this edition of Wacken concluded, the first bands have been announced for 2015. Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be performing live on stage at Wacken 2015, followed immediately by a Savatage reunion gig, that also marks their first live performance in over a decade. Furthermore, these will be the only live appearances of both bands in Europe in 2015. It's happening, folks!

Other confirmations include Running Wild, In Flames, In Extremo, U.D.O., Sabaton, Amorphis (Special Tales From The Thousand Lakes Show), Death Angel, Powerwolf, Ensiferum, Kataklysm, Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura and Thyrfing.

Not the classic one, since that is unfortunately impossible.

Pretty clear who won't be there, but interested who will be singing. Jon, Zak or both.

Like I said the problem is that they can't put the classic line-up on stage.
But then again I have seen Savatage live with that line-up when they were on top of their game.

So more or less you can stand their musical style?

I am a huge fan of their albums up to and including Streets. Not so much after that, though.

I didn't know, I thought you totally disliked whatever by them.

Nobody should dislike albums like Hall of the Mountain King or Gutter Ballet. I'm sorry, I know music is a matter of personal taste, but when it comes to Criss Oliva I'm emotionally involved and I can't imagine anyone who doesn't love his music.

Criss Oliva was awesome. Truly inspired guitarist.
