Paradise Lost - Release Lyric Video For New Song
Gothic metallers Paradise Lost are returning with opus number fourteen, The Plague Within, on June 2nd in North America (one day earlier internationally) via Century Media. In anticipation of this release, the band has now premiered the new lyric video for the track "No Hope In Sight" which is the first new song you get to hear and also the album opener. Is it a worthy successor of Tragic Idol? You can be the judge of that.
The band comments: "Check out the first track from our new album The Plague Within. 'No Hope In Sight' was one of the first tracks we wrote and it reflects a blend of styles. From death metal to gothic to classic rock. It's like all eras of PL wrapped up into one track. We hope you all like it!"
Tracks:
01. No Hope In Sight
02. Terminal
03. An Eternity Of Lies
04. Punishment Through Time
05. Beneath Broken Earth
06. Sacrifice The Flame
07. Victim Of The Past
08. Flesh From Bone
09. Cry Out
10. Return To The Sun
11. Victim Of The Past [orchestra version]
The album was recorded at Orgone Studios (Ghost, Ulver, Cathedral, Angel Witch) in London with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano.
The cover for The Plague Within was created by Polish artist, illustrator and architect Zbigniew M. Bielak, best known in the musical realm for his record cover illustrations, which, among others, include meticulously handcrafted artworks of Watain, Ghost and Entombed A.D. albums.
