Lamb Of God - Cancel Euro Tour, COB And Sylosis To Continue
And the tour cancellations continue following the Paris terrorist attacks. While some bands have maintained their shows in Paris and all over Europe, others like Lamb Of God have decided to return home, citing security concerns to cancel their remaining shows. Curiously enough, Children Of Bodom and Sylosis, whom have been accompanying Lamb Of God on this tour, have decided to continue with the European trek unlike the Americans.
Said Lamb Of God in a statement: "Due to concerns brought to our attention by the venue security team yesterday in Tilburg ? and continued general concerns across Europe ? we have decided against putting our fans, our crew and ourselves in this position night after night and will be canceling the remainder of our performances in Europe. This is a decision we are making on behalf of the fans, our crew, and our band, as well as the well-being of everyone's family, friends and loved ones at home. Stay safe, and we will see you very soon."
Children Of Bodom have confirmed that they are continuing with the tour alongside Sylosis: "Lamb Of God has chosen to leave the European tour due to security concerns in Europe. Our team has been working very hard to make all of the remaining shows happen. We want to, and have decided to, continue on the road and play the rest of the tour. Sylosis also will be joining us on their scheduled appearances. Here is what we know so far. Unfortunately the promoter has decided to move forward and cancel tonight's show in Oberhausen, Germany, and the additional shows in Germany. At this time, the remaining schedule will move forward as this (we are looking to add more shows FYI). We will keep you updated as we have changes, and we are doing our best to keep you informed as quickly as possible on everything."

It sound like Europe has become in a state of warfare :  Strange, and sad. With this the terrorists has won because their main task is to spread fear, and this is a perfect example on a situation where fear has canceled the tour for them. Kudos to Sylosis and CoB!

I was lucky enough to catch them at Wembley the day after the attacks, and they put on a great show. It's disappointing that they made this decision, particularly after the declaration they made at that gig (which I see Marcel linked), but at the same time I think it's reasonable for bands to be concerned about the potential they have for drawing attacks and endangering both themselves and concert-goers.

I get what LOG means but they canceled their show in Tilburg (The Netherlands) just 20 minutes before the doors opened. That's ridiculous! If they didn't want to play because of safety issues than they should have canceled the show a few hours before opening of the venue. But okay, it's in the past now and we can't change anything about it. I just hope they come back to Europe and give us a show that will let us forget this all happened.

But I definitely think they could have worded it better.

Well, to me the article seems to suggest that Lamb of God (and by extension all Americans) are just being giant pussies. I believe that was the intention, and the official stance of Metal Storm.
