Nothing will happen in the UK this summer. The EC 2016 is in France and not in the UK. And even if it were in Britain it would not affect a band's travelling to gigs.

How the bleep will one day of voting for a new parlaiment affect a touring band in any way? That wouldn't even affect a band if it were to last a week or two. Voting and going to gigs are totally unrelated.

That is probably the one reason why I don't want us to leave the EU. A lot of my favourite don't come to the UK so why make it harder for them.

A Delain article turns in to a Brexit debate. Really? FFS!

Even if Britain exits, it won't affect foreign bands coming over, since Britain is no part of Schengen, currently, so there is already more than enough hassle for them currently when they come over to play the UK. I don't see Britain requiring visas from most countries when/if they exit.

Back to topic. Surprized Evergrey are not headlining, didn't think Delain were bigger.

You'd be surprised at how many albums Delain sells and how many people they draw to their gigs. Way more than Evergrey at their most popular, which is already well behind us,

No you won't need visas and luggage checks were always there.

Hell, when I travel to Singapore or Malaysia I don't need any sort of visas, same applies ot most countries in the world. You just get a stamp in your passport upon entrance which lets you stay there for three months.

MH is right here... even when touring in support of Inner Circle back in 2006 when they were arguably at their height, Evergrey played to less than 100 people in Stratford On Avon. It is a little surprising, but they've never really gained much of a following in the UK, whereas Delain have been filling 500 plus venues on their last two UK headlining tours.

First gig was Manowar (loincloths 'n' all), Bristol Colston Hall in March 1983, on the 'Hail to England' tour. Tickets were £3.75, 300 in the audience, Mercyful Fate never showed, but my hearing still got seriously trashed..
