Caligula's Horse - Guitarist Quits The Band

Australian prog outfit Caligula's Horse are again going through line-up changes. Zac Greensill, one of the band's founding members, decided to quit the group and bring back to life his side project, Opus Of A Machine, which was officially put on hiatus last summer, two years after releasing the debut album, Simulacra.

As it can be read in the band's statement, Greensill left the band on friendly terms: "We're all very proud to announce that our beloved Zac is departing the band to pursue his own project, Opus Of A Machine. He's been an integral part of this outfit since the inception of the live band, a steadfast touring companion, and a supportive friend. We can't wait to hear what comes next from Opus."

The guitarist himself adds: "The experiences gained from being in Caligula's Horse have no doubt been some of the greatest in my life. I cannot put into words how much of a privilege it was sharing stages around the world with these four guys."

Greensill will still play with Caligula's Horse during the upcoming tour in Australia and New Zealand, where the band will perform as the opening act for Opeth. He will be replaced afterwards by Adrian Goleby, known from another Australian progressive band Arcane.
