Indeed, after the 08:30 mark it becomes epic af.

Very impressive! Like it a lot... and it keeps getting better with every new spin! Summoning rules!
PS: in the end there's a nice sample of Bendict Cumberbatch's voice of Sauron from The Hobbit movie... love it!

Like it,but not sure what i think about the vocal. Less black metal-ish but more dynamic. For me this sure is a grower and i know i wil love it in the end. Cant wait for the new album!

I'm not feeling this song. I don't know if I'm digging the more melodic vocals. I've always liked Summoning's vocal sound which was more a layer of background that lent to a mysterious mythical feeling. There is more focus on the vocals here, perhaps in the production as well, that detracts from the usual feeling I get when I listen to Summoning. I do need to listen to it further. I've only taken about five spins with it and I do absolutely love this band.

Love for the song, hate for the sound. I guess sound engineers do not dwell in the Middle-Earth.

Yeah the production really limits the songs punch. Perhaps this is also why it feels bland without extreme vocals. I feel like the extreme vocals could almost be forgotten if the production was top notch. I actually enjoyed the melodic change though.

I preordered the limited edition but this song is giving me second thoughts...While not a terrible song it is lukewarm and like the others already said the production is garbage.

The production here is the best part. Not sure why everyone is complaining.

About production.... many of you like early Burzum, Immortal, Darkthrone, Behemoth, etc., despite the awful production! Summoning have never been about the quality of production, but the atmosphere....

I was a bit surprised by the production when I listened to it for the first time but I must say that after few more spins I realized that it is actually something what I really like about Summoning, the fact that they have their own unique sound. I am fed up with bands with perfect sound (for some), I grow up on the first wave of black metal and as garmling said those bands sometimes had awful sound but nobody complained cause the music itself had (for me still have) soul :-).

You're right. Better back on-topic about the new Summoning song and how average it once again is (just like all of their stuff) and how bad the production is. Production totally doesn't fit the sort of music they try to play.
