Candlemass - Launch Online Game And Soundtrack

Prepare to enter the house of doom! Swedish epic doom metal legends Candlemass are back with an online game and a brand new soundtrack called "House Of Doom". According to the game's official web site, "House Of Doom" is a unique game with music written by Candlemass leader Leif Edling and performed by Candlemass. The band has also been part of the development of the game that invites you into the world of extreme style heavy metal music, where both music and lyrics intend to evoke a sense of despair, dread and, impending doom.

Epic doom metal riffs from real instruments and doom-style graphics come together in this classic online video slot and result in a never-before-seen player experience.

"House Of Doom" is a five-reel video slot with 10 fixed paylines. It is a volatile game with a high payout. There are wilds, free(doom)spins and bonus scatter symbols (the Skull). Landing three skulls at the right moment triggers the Skulls Of Abyss bonus game, where hidden prizes can be won.

The game will be available exclusively to select operator partners for a three-month period before going live to others immediately after. Play'n Go's collaboration with Candlemass on the soundtrack is also complemented with a wider marketing push which will see the band contribute to real-life events and social activities around the launch.

The House of Doom soundtrack is written by Leif Edling, produced by Marcus Jidell, mixed by David Castillo and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.

I am not sure that Candlemass needs this, but a gambling game? Really?
As a long time fan, I am more than a bit confused. Any crazy/real ideas on the why?

Yeah I agree this is kinda lame...but as a long time Candlemass fan I just had to play it just so I could hear the soundtrack. The better your spins are, the more of the soundtrack you hear and I obviously got good enough spins to hear the whole thing... and I must say it's actually awesome, and very doom.

You actually don't have to register to play it. You can go straight to the game where they give you like 250 free credits which was enough for me to hear all of it several times.

Just wish now they would release a new full album.

I wouldn't be confident enough to bet a single dollar if either Napalm Records or Hyperfrost (publisher and holder of all the rights to the House of Doom brand) was is the initiator of the project. No pun intended.

But damn, what the heck Why would it have to be a gambling game? It's so bizarre. I mean sure, it makes money, but it's dishonest shit to make money off of people who have a problem with gambling.
