Possessed - Reveal New Album Details And First Single

The first name in death metal, Possessed, have revealed the title of their first album in over three decades, Revelations Of Oblivion. It will be released on May 10th via Nuclear Blast Records and to celebrate their return, Possessed offer fans a visualizer for the first single, "No More Room In Hell", available below.

Revelations Of Oblivion was recorded at NRG studios and Titan Studios with Jeff Becerra as executive producer and Daniel Gonzalez as co-producer for the album. Mixing and mastering was handled by Peter Tägtgren at Abyss Studios in Sweden. For the artwork, the band enlisted Polish artist Zbigniew Bielak to create a piece that brought back the notion of true fear that was once associated with the idea of evil.

Jeff Becerra commented: "This album from start to release has been a fantastic experience. All of us in Possessed hope you enjoy this newest release and we look forward to touring and creating much more new music in the future. We appreciate all of your support and dedication. Hope to see you during our upcoming tours & shows soon. Thank you to each and every one of you for your inspiration and dedication to Possessed.

"Working with Peter was a fantastic experience. We put a great deal of thought into who we wanted to produce our new album. Since we hadn't made an all-new material release in well over 30 years, it was essential that we found the right person. Peter's name kept coming up over and over, and after speaking with my bandmates they all really liked Peter as he is more organic, and somebody we felt would fit in well with our process."

Zbigniew Bielak! I need to remember this name. This guy is really good and his style is easily recognizable. As soon as I saw that cover art, I remembered the last ones from Deicide and Ghost, which were also great.

The songs of Zion unheard for centuries

The bitter water at Tara where
Thieves with punctured ears did drown

Such is the blood lust of these bearded hustlers

I know, I shouldn't have posted Devin after that. I'm sorry.

I love Devin, but...

Announcing the resurrection of Quorthon + a subsequent first but extensive Europe tour of Bathory + Dissection's original line-up supporting them, THAT would have been just enough to hold the tension curve.

Mirror broken and face even uglier now - but you won't have to see yourself anymore every morning.
Is it the major improvement you were looking for?

And did you have an evil laugh and jokingly ask "How's Annie?" afterwards

I use to carry a double face. Now the second face has come to my rescue.
