After a 5-year-long hiatus, Swedish funeral doom masters The Funeral Orchestra came back last year. Recently they've announced the release of their second studio album, Negative Evocation Rites, due out on June 1 via Nuclear War Now! Productions (Vinyl). You can listen to the 13-minute opening track "Negative Evocation" via Bandcamp down under. Additionally, the band put out Apocalyptic Plague Ritual MMXX (March 31st) - alternative MMXX versions of previously released compositions - available for listening in full.

Negative Evocation Rites was composed by the band. Recorded during in January and February, 2020 in Studio Trauma and Abysmal Noise Studio in Sweden.Mixed and mastered at Raven Noise Studio in February, 2020 by Johan Bäckman and The Funeral Orchestra.

The band comments on the upcoming album, Negative Evocation Rites: "While we are waiting for our second album Negative Evocation Rites during this time of plague, we hereby offer another ritual - Apocalyptic Plague Ritual MMXX. Alternative MMXX versions of old previously released compositions."
