Septicflesh - Announce 'Modern Primitive' Full Length
Symphonic death metal architects Septicflesh have announced details of their upcoming eleventh studio album, entitled Modern Primitive. Due on May 20th, it consists of 9 new tracks. Coinciding with the announcement, the band have revealed the conceptual new video for the album's first single "Hierophant".

I found the main orchestral melody of this song a little cliche and distracting, but once i got past that I really liked the song.

They seem "trapped" in their own style. The past 3-4 album sound is like 1-2 tracks...same-ish..again and again and again. Yes ok, it is cool but then I will probably move on with my life after listening a couple of times. They can use 1 million additional violins if they wish and will always sound great, but they will never achieve the "coolness" of Revolution DNA when it was first released.
