Picture - Guitarist Steps Down, Replacement Confirmed
Dutch heavy metal veterans Picture revealed that guitarist Jan Bechtum has decided to step down due to health issues. At the same time, the band confirmed Len Ruygrok as a permanent replacement.
Statement from the group: ''Dear Picture friends and fans. With sadness in our heart we announce that Jan Bechtum's surgery on his hand did not have the desired result we all hoped for. That’s why he decided to step back from the band. We want to thank him for his commitment and his brilliant guitar playing and style which made him unique and one of a kind! Does he leave the band? NO, Jan is Picture, breathes Picture and will always be a part of Picture. And maybe when the opportunity arises we can welcome him on stage to play a couple of songs with us. We also announce that, with the approval of Jan, Len Ruygrok will be our new Picture member. Welcome Len!"
