Ironsword - Drummer Passed Away
Portuguese heavy metal group Ironsword shared sad news about the passing of their drummer João Paulo Monteiro. He was 46 yeas old.
Statement from the band: "Rest in Peace João Monteiro. Undoubtedly, not only one of the best, most talented and skillful drummers, but an amazing musician as well. You will be missed but never forgotten. Condolences to his family."
Enchantya adds: ''It's with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our previous drummer and friend João Paulo Monteiro. He recorded our Dark Rising album (2012) and was definitely responsible for the quality of this album that made us sign with Massacre Records. João was brave until the end. He will be profoundly missed as friend, as father, as son, as musician and as teacher. Our deepest condolences to his family. We will meet on the other side!''
