Suomi doom metal masters Astral Sleep have announced their second line-up change in 19 years of the existence. The band confirmed a departure of the guitarist Aaro Haverinen, who is going to be replaced by Santeri Kangasmetsä. Astral Sleep are also pleased to welcome back the original guitarist and founding member, Rolle Heinonen, this time as an occasional keyboard player.

The band's statement: "Astral Sleep has gone through its second line-up change during 19 years. The guitar player on the third album (Astral Doom Musick) and the fourth album (We Are Already Living In The End Of Times), has stepped out of the band to focus on his main band Bloody Heathen.

"The original guitarist, and a founding member Rolle Heinonen has made a comeback to Astral Sleep, but this time as an occasional keyboard player (!). We thank Aaro for the years of successful service, and welcome Rolle back with excitement!

"The new lead guitar player for Astral Sleep is Santeri Kangasmetsä. He is a long-time fan, an actor in our (yet unreleased) music video, and a former band mate of the vocalist Markus Heinonen -- in Santeri's own band Chaotic Sanity. He showed enthusiasm like no other when we searched for a new member! We have already done a lot of great art and some live shows together with Santeri and feel that the Astral Sleep is currently in it's peak power!"
