We can finally give you the last names of the Hellfest 2008!

Slayer (Sunday) and Venom (Friday, only date in Europe) will be the two last headliners. The Swedish Doom Monsters Candlemass will be on the line up too.

Plus: Danko Jones, Punish Yourself, Bleeding Through, Throwdown, Krisiun, Disfear, Shai Hulud, Black Tide and two contest winner bands which will be known in May.

Sadly Angra, Himsa, 7 Seconds and Red Sparowes are cancelled.

The new Hellfest website and the "one day tickets buying system" will be online Friday 4th April 2008. We can already tell you that a lot of people from France and also from all around the world (thx Metal Storm right? ) have already bought their 3-Days tickets! Hellfest will be better and bigger than ever this year!

Metal Storm will be one of the official partners of the festival so be sure that other news will come later, stay tuned!

With Angra, it was the second most insane lineup any metal festival has ever had (last year was better but now it's not.... aah, I have to see Angra!

I disagree.

Perhaps for you're taste, the line-up isnt the best. But, as a metal fan, I find it hard to refute that this line-up is the best this Summer.

What with the addition of three more brilliant bands...
Pétur - 04.04.2008 at 12:38
well Candlemass is very good, but Slayer... is just an okay band and the same with Venom.

If you look at the COMPLETE line-up (not only the names mentioned here) Hellfest beats the crap out of overrated festivals liek Wacken & Graspop, now those two are festivals with a very very very standard line-up.
Pétur - 04.04.2008 at 16:43
true Hellfest got's a better line up then those 2 but the complete line up is still average.

Okay so you don't like the line-up. What bands would YOU like to see there then? Cause IMO this is a brilliant line-up which is very varied and has something for everyone.
Pétur - 04.04.2008 at 17:33
well 3 of those bands are allready there, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride and Ministry but there are others.
I would like to see there: Type O Negative, Lake of Tears, The Vision Bleak, Sigh, Bolt Thrower, Doomsword, Panzerchrist, Draconian, Theatre of Tragedy, Dark Tranquility, Kalmah among others. but to be honest with you mine music taste changed a lot over the few months I listen a lot more to other genres.
Marcel Hubregtse - 04.04.2008 at 17:48
Typ O and Dark Tranqillity were there last year.
Born-2rise - 05.04.2008 at 19:47
