The music on The Cyclothymic Panopticon is a mixture of post-black metal with elements of electronic music. Cold, merciless, unforgiving and extremely powerful, The Cyclothymic Panopticon is sure to interest fans of DHG, Fleurety, Thorns and Aborym. The album can be purchased from the Sérpéné Héli Music webstore. My comments: I'm fairly satisfied with this release, but I find their previous one, Mental Electricity, better. Those of you who already know this band will surely be satisfied with The Cyclothymic Panopticon and those of you who don't...well, it's worth checking out, really. It's fresh (can't say it's that innovative though) and enjoyable, even for people that are not acquainted with this black metal sub-genre. You can check out their MySpace and official site. Standout tracks: The Axis Of A Diagram and Through Drowsy Daydreams. Be sure to listen to Numbness Coming From The Sink from Mental Electricity as well, as I consider it their best song so far.
