Beyond the Pubyard by Tankard. describes my current circumstances perfectly simply because i always go to my 9 AM class helluv hungover and reeking of booze or vomit or a hellish combination of the aforementioned elements. I wake up in the toilets Stinking of alcohol Who am I? Can't remember Ain't sure I wanna know The beer stains on my clothing Revealed by neon lights They tell me every morning Another thirsty night A lover of bottles I am Been born here, grew up here, I'll die here The stuff in the sink is my brain My father smelled offensive My mother was a bitch But it was love at first drink They practiced what they preached minus the stanky, bitchy ass parents, this song is me all over.
---- Kick Ass, Die Young Less is More Stay Pure Stay Poor Music was my life, music brought me to life and music is how I will be remembered long after I leave this life. When I die there will be a final waltz in my head that only I can hear.

Probably this little bit from Manowar's Return of The Warlord: "Losers try to put us down it's just another day I got no money or big house just got life I don't like to save it's fun to spend If you like metal you're my friend" i'm really a "if you like metal you're my friend" dude, and i just can't hold myself from spending money when i have more cash than usual(and i'm pretty broke most of the times).

Not really "right now" but many songs have come to be my life's describing stuff. The most recently is No Light No Hope, by Swallow The Sun.The lyric is very solid and also offensive. You also can see some part of it in my signature Fall deeper and deeper Don't forget what you have done Did I ever say? Some things can't be undone Fall into my darkest thoughts No light, no hope My dagger in your heart is the mark of my true love Venomous lips and poisonous words That's what you are made of my dear Eyes wide shut, left to rot No regrets Fall into my darkest thoughts No light, no hope My dagger in your heart is the mark of my true love And my current Username is inspired from that song.

I can really relate t this and what to varda says, music is something of great importance in my life and i constantly relate my life, and what happens to me, with what the lyrics of a song say. thing is i'm kinda bipolar, hehe, so it really changes a lot for me, although some sonata arctica songs relate constantly like Broken for instance. Non-metal stuff i relate to astor piazzollas' lyrics for Balada para mi muerte (ballad for my death). btw, something intersting i did last night on facebook was a series of questions, and the idea was to put your music list on shuffle so to answer every question you just put the name of the song that came up... here's the link if someone feel like checking it out, athough the questions are in spanish http://www.facebook.com/album.php?page=2&aid=6286&id=613713510#/note.php?note_id=48891853240

Well, yesterday my girlfriend and me broke up after 2 years and 3 months, and even if could be a temporary thing I have already found myself singing "Wasted Time" by Skid Row many times.... "Is it all just wasted time? How can you look at yourself when you think of what you left behind? Is it all just wasted time? How can you live with yourself when you think of what you left behind?"

The first 3 months after my break-up were all about Skinny Love by Bon Iver, Black by Pearl Jam and Snuff by Slipknot. But this past month has been all about Alanis Morrisette's You Oughta Know, especially the line "an older version of me." But moving onto bigger and better things, mostly related to my upcoming trip overseas, I've been playing Santa Monica by Everclear endlessly (in fact the whole Sparkle & Fade album has been on repeat for a week). Don't think I could choose 1 song to describe my whole life. I've got different songs for different moments in my life, songs that remind me of people, places, events, emotions, etc. Won't bore u all with a list

...just like Black Mass there's alot of songs that describe my life actually but at the time i'd say the song would be: take the time - dream theater...i just finished collegue, starting a lot of new things, learning how to be alone and still enjoy it, letting go people i love, etc...i won't post the whole lyrics, just some phrases... "...i feel the heat within my mind and craft new challenges with my eyes...giving freely wandering promises a place with decisions i'll fashion i wont waste another breath...the unbroken spirit obscured and disquiet finds clearness this trial demands and at the end of this day sighs an anxious relief for the fortune lies still in his hands...life is no more assuring than love...close your eyes you can find all that you need in your mind..." @ Bad English: i love wine too hehe @ Djävul: sorry about that dude... @ tulkas: i did that shuffle thing before too lol @ Dane: ...nice song!!

I remember once i was on a minibus and i was blasting "Jump In The Fire" by Metallica in my headphones... involuntarily i started to nod my head and silently singing along. one of the best driving songs ever hmm but as for right now.. is there a song about being lazy and not studying for tests? as for my life in general, Black Sabbath's lyrics really get to me: Heaven and Hell The closer you get to the meaning the sooner you'll know that you're dreaming ... Well if it seems to be real, it's illusion For every moment of truth, there's confusion Love can be seen as the answer, but nobody bleeds for the dancer And it's on and on, on and on and on.... They say that life's a carousel Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well The world is full of Kings and Queens Who blind your eyes and steal your dreams so much truth in these lyrics, many times my convictions have been proven wrong, so i decided to take everything with a real heavy dose of skepticism, cause, like in the song, you really can't tell which is Heaven and which is Hell. Manowar- Metal Daze I hear the sound In a metal way I feel the power Rolling off the stage Cause only one thing Really sets me free Heavy Metal Loud as it can be Baby I was born to play music I'm a man with a screamin guitar There's a light in the middle of the stage In a minute I'll be wearing it all I don't know another way of living Baby I don't really care Give me a pair of jeans And a riff that's mean And girls that love to share my love for playing guitar, especially to this song with the volume cranked waaay up, and my love for everything 80s, cheesy, bombastic and in-your-face, in one word: Manowar. and last but not least, Deep Purple- When a Blind Man Cries. you all know this one, it pretty much summarises how i feel when loneliness gets to me.

Broken by Senteced. I have come a long way where I started from but I'm still not even close to where I'm going (and now) I can no longer see the shine that has been lighting up my way I cannot feel its glowing The fire in my heart is dying and the zeal I had is gone This path that I've chosen's a rocky one Long, hard and frozen it has become Each turn that I've taken on the way has only led me back to Hell I am dying down growing weaker now It could seem that I'm doing fine but I'm broken to little pieces deep inside Why did I ever choose to go this way The question I keep asking myself all the time I guess it was my instinct for self-destruction that pointed me down this way The fire in my eyes is dying and the dream I had is gone This path that I've chosen's a rocky one Long, hard and frozen it has become Each turn that I've taken on the way has only led me back to Hell I am dying down growing weaker now It could seem that I'm doing fine but I'm broken to little pieces deep inside

Depressing reading....have none of you a good self-image? Anyway, here is my "theme song" and usually one that describes my life the best.... Voyager - Time for Change I turn to see what I purport to be I transgress established hierarchies I hope you will accept my company That my behaviour is what you want it to be I present you being what I am I present you wanting what I can And when the evening comes Beware the setting sun I'm not the one I used to be. Take this façade off me, what I purported to be. You'll be the only one to see I believe in innocence I believe it till the end. No one finds me to rest in peace I believe in innocence, I believe it till the end Oh no Although success is what I crave Embrace my common flaws, bring out the hidden slave And see the flesh that's really me You can keep the shell but I return to the sea, Present you with my point of view Accept me now, and the winner is you I am not many, all but few Why did I not act upon my instincts? Two roads diverged in yellow wood I took the one embraced in endless shadow But I'm at the journey's end Time for change now Why did I not act upon my instincts? Two roads diverged in yellow wood I took the one embraced in endless shadow But I'm at the journey's end ------------------------------------------------------------- Reason? I'm constantly trying to do what my head say, that usually means time for change, as i tend to do many misstages...

Anathema-are you there Are you there? Is it wonderful to know All the ghosts... All the ghosts... Freak my selfish out My mind is happy Need to learn to let it go I know you'd do no harm to me But since you've been gone I've been lost inside Tried and failed as we walked by the riverside Oh I wish you could see the love in her eyes The best friend that eluded you lost in time Burned alive in the heat of a grieving mind But what can I say now? And It couldn't be more wrong Cos there's no one there Unmistakably lost and without a care Have we lost all the love that we could share And its wearing me down And its turning me round And I can't find a way Now to find that it out Where are you when I need you... Are you there?

"The Art of Dying" by Gojira. Check the lyrics: Breathing slowly, mechanical heartbeat losing contact with the living Almighty TV plugged, hybrid empty brain don't see anything real in the game The tension is building constantly No reason just a reflex I have, driven by clockwork I try to keep an eye open And I realize I haven't closed my eyes in a long time Neglected emotions lead to catastrophic voyage on the other side I have been given so much stress and lack of confidence I've been given the gift of so small hope deep inside I haven't closed my eyes in a long time, I am trying I cannot stomach these forms and colors anymore but I'm here to continue, after all I have been through I try to keep my eyes open, I am realizing This life and death more precious than anything I won't bring no material in the after life Take no possessions, I would rather travel light I'm of this kind that kills all day but I don't know yet how to die Art of dying, is the way to let all go Within I practice in the secret of my soul My shape in the reflector has now for ever, a life on it's own

Yeah, I understand what all of you are talking about. I can remember many songs that in the past helped me to go ahead with my life or just to enjoy it. "Angel" by Judas Priest is the most recent song that describes me, I used to listen to it last December, and by now, "Panic Attack" by Dream Theater, does not describes me, but can really describe the life of two of my closest friends at the moment, and when I listen to that song I feel like I understand them (because that song used to describe me a long time ago and I know how it feels to be like that).

And another great thread. Well, the song that perfectly describes my life right now is....it doesn't have to be a metal song, right? Well, the best non-metal song that describes my life right now is ''I am a Rock'' by Simon and Garfunkel. Why? Because the lyrics fit perfectly with my life s(h)ituation right now and describe my life and feelings right now exactly. Actually it always fits be because that's how I feel in general and it's become my own hymn.
