for me it's R.E.M. - Losing My Religion at the moment, because it's extremely catchy and has awesome lyrics and just sounds allround awesome, second would be Mad World by Gary Jules (originally by tears for fears, i greatly prefer this version though) out of pretty much the same reasons, but just not as much as the REM song

another truly wonderful one is Tenacious D - Tribute, after all it's the greatest song in the world... tribute

I guess this can be counted, since it's by a real composer, it's from the Final Fantasy VI Piano Collections: Reiko Nomura - The Mystic Forest.

This song has the most beautiful melody I've ever heard, also the most haunting, too. All this, ahceived with just one instrument. Just brilliant.

you should also try the main theme for FF VII too.

The soundtracks for Final Fantasy VIII and X also are not bad, ? right. One is Suteki Da Ne, the otherone, I dont remember its name.

Lotr theatrical trailer music.....dunno the exact title of it. Someone just showed me the song. I asked what the title was and he didnt know. at first he didnt know where the song was from then I told him I thought I heard it in one of the Lotr's dvds. Turned out, it was.

For now, I'm hooked on Miss Li's music, mostly beacuse of her powerfull voice and the pure energy in her songs. I also have get stuck on Hooverphonic's "Tomorrow"(live version), pure atmosphere!
