Thought Industry is quite a unique band...they're progressive metal but they mix in so many other influences...hard rock, emo, punk, experimental, beatnik, etc, etc...all these other combinations really made them stand out...it's really hard to explain exactly what Thought Industry really was but many people who like Thought Industry tend to like Tub Ring and put them both loosely in the same catagory because each band has a rock/metal base with tecnicality, ecentric lyrics and musical bases...their lyrics make absolutely no sense whatsoever...for example:

dennis' love zanex. Wet sleep dead man. Slit my
aspirations. Boil.

Lead man Brent Oberlin couldn't keep the band together and they eventually faded away....Brent was in a band by the name of Cosmonaut but they too have since disbanded...there is talk of Thought Industry reforming but it doesn't seem to look too good...so does anyone else know of this rather odd but awesome band?

I don't know them but I know Tub Ring. Reading your description I am interested in hearing what this band actually sounds like. Must see if I can download some stuff and I'll get back on this thread.

I had intrests in 1992 and 1993 albums, how thay sounds, witch albums are similar and witc band?
i know thay are from 80ties/early 90ties and old school albums ar ebest of ewery band
