Least Favorite Opeth Song

One trademark of Opeth is create albums very consistents and with a very high level of quality, and into each album songs are very complex and extremly good. But, not all of the songs are that good, so i am curious to know which are the Opeth songs that you consider not good enough.Without counting all the instrumental "mini-songs" like Pattern In The Ivy, Requiem or For Absent Friends. I have three songs that i can't fully love them like all other Opeth masterpieces, my selection is: "By The Pain I See In Others", "Dirge For November" and "Karma" and i would say "Karma" is the winner of my least favorite Opeth track. Which are yours? (If you have them)

I am yet to understand the dislike for Slither. Sounds great to me, especially live. It gives a little boost to the aggressiveness of the set. More straightforward than most Opeth tracks, but still great IMO.

I don't see why Slither receives any more hate than any of the songs from Heritage. They're all equally bad.

I personally feel The Lines In My Hand is the weakest Opeth song. I didn't think it was all that great, and kind of killed Hertage's flow a little bit. It seems like much more of a standard song than anything else the band has written.

Well, Karma is great because it completes the story. By itself it's not quite as good as other Opeth songs, but as a part of the whole album it's perfect. I love the little interludes on the album, so even if you counted those I wouldn't have picked them. I love Dirge for November. The lyrics are very poetic and emotional, even if the song is ever so slightly weaker than some other Opeth tracks. I think the weakest track in their discography is probably Wreath. Definitely not my favorite, and not as winding and moody as other Opeth songs. The recording doesn't seem to be that great, either. It's still a great song, but the intro was kinda "meh", the outtro was also kinda bland, and the rest of the song seemed not to go much of anywhere (for an Opeth song). Written by Guest on 18.11.2010 at 19:31 I love Weakness. It sounds so desolate and empty, like a derelict city. Of that entire album, Death Whispered a Lullaby, Closure, Ending Credits, and Weakness are my favorites.
