I cant believe there isnt a topic about deathstep in this forum yet, combination of deathcore and dubstep. Deathstep is here to stay, btw this new genre is pretty heavy, If you don't like it, then its your problem.

I highly doubt that this abomination will last longer than a few years. But who knows, there's a lot of idiot music fans in the world
Damn I must be getting old I'm starting to hate everything new :L Don't like dubstep.. don't like deathcore a whole lot either so I guess I'll give this a miss lol

The quality of Deathstep that can ever be accomplished by a band is that of The Browning.
...and I think we all know how much that sucked
Unless i'm proven wrong one day, but hopefully that won't come . If i'm perfectly honest I would take Tupac over a Skrillex-ish Suicide Silence anyday.
Dubstep, mixed in small doses with heavy, atmospheric, layered metal song structures can work and the results can be surprising, but this....this...Deathstep...I...Fuck it, don't have a word to describe it, it's simply horrible.

well although black metal have the ability to mix up with the other genres pretty easily (mostly because its minimalistic basic structure ) i doubt that it will ever (successfully) mix with dubstep ... mostly because differences in core level of rhythm sections ...
anyway this Deathstep stuff easily gets on first 5 of my Bullshit list...

You know my Serbian brother, I would agree with you with the first part if it was not for this nagging feeling of mine, that there is someone in the world already contemplating of mixing these two completely different styles.
I would like to hear what the other 4 are:)
