This use to be in the festivals category, but it's been deleted, so maybe the mods will do something with it. This is basically to talk about any tours coming out during the Summer in the U.S (and I would suppose they go into Canada as well at some points).

Tours so far include:
Sounds of the Underground
Unholy Alliance
Gigantour 2 (?)
Strhess Tour

I totally didn't know anything about the Strhess Tour until today. Its mainly hard/metalcore bands, but they have Shadows Fall, and for God knows what reason, the amazing death metal act Suffocation? Weird. I didn't bother labeling Ozzfest because I'd rather focus on these ones, Ozzfest to me is done. Its run its course, and the Metal festival torch, as some might say, is being passed on to these tours that offer great shows for a fraction of the cost.

Well I wanted to put it on the events page, but the Events page doesn't have an add topic button. I believe on the old MS if you created a topic like this the mods moved it, after they had created the Events forum page. This was a relatively new thing on the old MS 2v. Plus I tried moving it but the move topic option didn't allow me to put it in there.

Well Gigantour 2 is suppose to be a reality, but details and bands have been basically all rumor. No one has relaly verified anything. Anthrax, Overkill, Megadeth, and Judas Priest are all supposed bands, which would be an awesome line up. Atleast its a solid lineup unlike say SOTU thats like partly Death metal, hardcore, metalcore, and Gwar. Haha, you can't get much more varied than that.

I'll have to check that one out Hellish Star. Those are the kinds of shows I want to go to, with bands most people have never heard of and aren't mainstream. They are basically true metal, no punk/hardcore dabbled in, and your not going to have to worry about any "posers". I'll have to see when the closest date to me is.

Ugh! What a waste, DragonForce on the same tour as Avenged Sevenfold? Ozzy has added both bands to Ozzfest's main stage. Why isn't DragonForce on say a tour with more power metal bands, or some old school thrash band? Why Ozzfest with no such bands? We have Disturbed and System of the System though.

Yeah, it's also changed to begin in New Jersey now instead of California which is a good thing for me though because I live in New York lol.
