Looking for a Windows equivalent of Garage Band

Can anyone recomend a music making program like Apple's garage band? Preferably freeware or *cough*warez*cough*. I have gutiar pro but it only uses midi files.

Hum, what do you need anything better than Guitar Pro for? Using GP's Real Sound Engine and additional drum programming software, I can figure out what my compositions can sound like after applying real instruments...

...Unless you don't have RSE... then it can sound crapy, yeah :p

I just got guitar pro. what do you do to make it sound with distortion? I can't find it.

Do you have RSE installed? I don't remember where it was exactly, but I think somewhere on CD. If you have it, just switch the instrument to distortion guitar :p

Im not too fammiliar with Garage bands, but I think its a mixing program for the MAC, yeah?

I think theres a free version of acid pro available at their website, albeit its a stripped down version of the real product. Still, it serves as a good mixer.
