Anathema - Streaming New Single
Anathema fans had to wait two years to hear new music from the British group but here it is folks. The first song off their new album Distant Satellites is the single "The Lost Song Part 3" and you can now give it a spin. Was it what you were expecting after Weather Systems? Distant Satellites will be out on Kscope in Germany and Sweden - 6th June, UK and rest of the world - 9th June and USA, Canada and France - 10th June. You can also pre-order the single "The Lost Song Part 3," an ambient mix, and a new track "Coda" from iTunes.

Amazing song! given that the last 2 albums were quite disappointing , i have high hopes for this album

Last two were my favorites of Anathema, so I'm expecting a lot. This song seems like a continuation to the last albums, so I'm satisfied.

One of the first times I've been able to understand why people have begun labeling them as prog rock. That being said, still don't think it's the right tag for them. Song's pretty good; starts off a little hazy, but really picks up towards the end. And yes, the artwork is pretty damn great.

Really cool track, its got an interesting rhythm and sounds almost new-wavy in nature. If the rest of the album pursues a direction like this, then I have a feeling this is going to be better than the previous album. Looking forward to it.

I'm still pleased with the fact these guys have removed themselves completely from the metal scene. There are enough bands out there to continue the doom trend, and Anathema have a winning formula and know how to manipulate atmosphere better than most rock bands. Here's hoping the rest of the album lives up to this track.
