To be honest, I'm sort of looking for stuff that's "outside the box" myself but that doesn't get lost in crazy progression schemes that just don't make sense. I'm looking for sensible, yet chaotic.

There are many discussions around the kind of music you're looking for. I could maybe send you this way, and if that is too "out-there" I'd say this way since what you uploaded on YT kinda has that atmosphere.

But other users will be better at directing you and giving you recommendations.

Nah I think "man"="bro" here. I don't mind that at all.

I don't know if I'd call this death metal, but it actually is really interesting.

I like the idea of this music, yet I never listen to it.
