One of the most well-known German bands. They started their characteristic Industrial sound with Herzeleid, which had powerful songs like "Asche Zu Asche" or "Du Riechst So Gut". Then came Sehnsucht, a musically more mature work ("Spiel Mit Mir", "Tier", "Engel") that included their hit "Du Hast". In 2001, Rammstein released their masterpiece Mutter (their best album so far in my opinion) with great songs like "Feuer Frei!", "Links 234" or "Spieluhr".
After the release of "Mutter", many Rammstein fans were disappointed, as the band recorded a blatantly weaker album called Reise, Reise. This one featured some radio-friendly songs that kept the old Rammstein sound ("Amerika", "Stein Um Stein"), but the inclusion of an annoying female voice in "Moskau", a simple rhythm with no structure in "Los" and those two ballads to finish the album ("Ohne Dich", "Amour") didn't please the broad fanbase of the band in general. Last year, their last album, Rosenrot, came to the light. It was another controversial album that features an unorthodox song sung in Spanish ("Te Quiero Puta!") and a duet with Till Lindemann and Sharleen Spiteri ("Stirb Nicht Vor Mir") among other songs.
My favourite Rammstein album is Mutter and my favourite songs by them are "Asche Zu Asche", "Feuer Frei!" and "Stirb Nicht Vor Mir" (which I find so beautiful). What do you think about this band?

I did read somewhere that other album song have been inspired in sex (or sex crimes) so not much of a surprise and well its Rammstein and the song title its pussy, i wasen't really expecting to see a flufy cat in the clip. Ther's a burlesque fealing about it, just like Till singing in english, maybe thats the idea.

And well, definately not the best video ever, they were just probably trying to step back on the scene, shocking everyone and therefore get their attention. The song isn't that bad (again, would sound better if it was sung in german - and yes, I am awared the cynicism they are trying to expose with singing in english), but they are able to do better. (They were at least)

The video is an example of bad taste, however, that has brought them on everyone's mind again and this was probably their aim.... Written by Doc G. on 18.09.2009 at 03:46 I share your opinion....it's rather disgusting, you'd expect anything from a music video (and they said Mary Manson is gross in the music videos...) and well...the tits ain't bad either in a video but the turn the video takes eventually is something that any normal person would never ever expect.... I have never listened to Rammstein tho....anyhow...I guess it is that when people have an idol, whether actor or singer or someone other, they need this person to be somewhat ideal, someone to look up to and admire....you'd never expect them to do anything like that....and then they do it and suddenly it's very disgusting....when watching porn, you don't know the actors or anything and suddenly you see "familiar faces" doing bad porn.... I wonder if Rammstein now has opened a new path for other bands to follow.... Then again....read the lyrics of "Nymphomaniac Fantasia" by Nightwish and let's all be glad Tuomas never made it into a video.....

There is a video for Placebo's song "Protège moi" which is as NSFW as Rammstein's "Puss" but instead of Placebo dudes cumming it offers an aesthetically lot nicer video of two young girls making out.....

I have nothing against explicit and adult themes in both music and music videos (in fact, I wish music videos were less PG, damn MTV...). With this said, it seems that the sole purpose of this Rammstein video is shock value and nothing else. Kitschy music and porn just to raise the band's notoriety is a bit too commercial for me. This is not Skinny Puppy using the most brutal murder scenes from horror movies to communicate existential dread or NIN making a faux snuff film to reveal society's decay - this is just a bunch of mediocre musicians using hardcore imagery to promote themselves. Fuck that. Its not even that shocking, we live in an age where everybody gets 15 far more explicit emails every day in their spam folder on gmail...

1) their faces are edited in there, Linderman doesnt have that abs and that body, he has belly. The keyboard guy doesnt have that body with tits. The other members I dont know. 2) I think that beside its a porn video, its new and they innovate the music videos, i think that this is the first porn music video ever (not wit just nudity but a hardcore one) and i give them some credits for that. 3) To me the song sucks, they can do better than that. 4) A friend of mine thinks that somehow this video its a critic to something? or a satire. I dont know what to think... Conclusion: Nice try to innovate, but they could do better, not just with the video but with the song.
