I've been trying to remember this death metal album I heard a while back, that I completely forgot the name of. I remember it was released in the mid 90's, and it was extreme death metal. It had this Hindu art on it with a sort of reddish color. Like a hindu god or something.

Morbid Angel's Heretic? Wasn't released mid-90's, and I'm not sure if that's a hindu god, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

Also Kartikeya is more like melodic death... Still a very good album nonetheless I would point out the obvious ones like this or that but it's probably not those More details would come handy. Like, how the album sounded as a whole, did it sound similar to which bands, if you think it was a very underground band or a quite well known one, if you remember how many tracks it had, etc...

The band wasn't melodic death or anything like that. It was really extreme metal... The kind that just assaults you and doesn't stop for the entire album. It couldn't have had more than 10 tracks...and it was early 2000's late 90's. I thought the album was called Kaliyuga at first, or some other reference to the hindu god Kali, but I used that name in all the searches so I must be confusing it with something else. I could be wrong about my description with the hindu diety on it, but I could have sworn it had one on the album

If early 00s are counting perhaps it was Lykathea Aflame's debut?

17.05.2016 - 17:34 Written by Karlabos on 17.05.2016 at 04:46 I like the old one...it sort of gives back that old 90's nostalgia. Suits the music more too...as it doesn't sound overproduced.

17.05.2016 - 17:36 Written by Paz on 17.05.2016 at 08:49 Haha, I said extreme metal but don't know what the exact genre would be. I've been pretty stressed out lately from my studies, and was looking for something that was just straight up madness and oldschool sounding, and I was trying to find this album that I heard last year but forgot the name. You rock my good sir.
