While I still enjoyed this, I didn’t find myself relentlessly- uncontrollably - headbanging as I did with the last few releases. It’s good, but it’s not nearly as epic. Sits somewhere between good and very good but I can’t make my mind up. Another change is a much greater focus on the orchestral arrangements rather than the groove. Perhaps that’s the reason for my slightly waned enthusiasm. I guess I liked something in between MBR and a full on symphony…and this leaning toward the latter a little much for my tastes. Maybe.
