I'm probably going to sign up for an Egg one too that's for pick up the same location. Only $.50 more than supermarket eggs. I'd be crazy to not do that.
We grow our own vegetables and peaches but we know a friend with a cattle farm out here so we get from them but it’s not delivered, though that would be really nice
A couple of Motorhead songs are about war:
Marching Off To War - Another Perfect Day
Sword of Glory - Kiss of Death
Bomber - Bomber
Orgasmatron - Orgasmatron (Not too sure about this one)
Alice In Chains - Rooster (About the Vietnam war. Jerry Cantrell wrote it from the perspective of his father's experiences)
Sodom - Agent Orange, Shellfire Defense. (Also M16 album as already mentioned)
Annihilator - Epic Of War, Hell Is A War
Sepultura - Territory, Arise, Beneath The Remains, War
Motorhead - 1916
Slayer - Bitter Peace, War Ensemble, Angel Of Death, Mandatory Suicide, Ghosts Of War, SS-3, Chemical Warfare, Eyes Of The
Metallica - One, Fight Fire with Fire
Megadeth - Peace Sells, Holy Wars... The Punishment Due, Symphony of Destruction, Architecture of Aggression, Ashes in Your Mouth
Lamb of God - Hourglass, Ashes of the Wake, Now You've Got Something to Die For, One Gun, The Faded Line
Ozzy Osbourne - Thank God for the Bomb, Killer of Giants
One of my favorite war-themed metal bands considering that other bands I like make just a couple of war-themed songs but HoB make every song about war without being too chessy about it.
But still, the best war-themed metal has to be:
Mayhem - A Grand Declaration Of War
It doesn't surprise me that no one wrote about it in the thread since it's so "untr00 black metal" but seriously, that album takes the War-feeling to a whole new level. Underrated is an understatement here. Few people will ever understand the brilliance of that album. Some moments are bloodchilling to me.

Grand Declaration War is indeed absolutelty brilliant. And to me it's one of the best black metal albums ever.

I might be flogging the old dead goat, having not read the previous pages, but, war metal anyone? It's one of my favorite genres of metal, since it's one of the most intense. Some good ones are Conqueror, GYIBAAW, Operation Winter Mist, Bestial Warlust, Blasphemy, Revenge, Blasphemophagher, Ouroboros and the first Cobalt album. They all have something or other to do with war, aside from the genre classification.
I agree on: The Metallica songs EVERYONE mentions.
Megadeth (but i would add "Take no Prisoners",an swesome WWII song)
Amon Amarth (<3 "Where is Your God", "Live for the Kill", and "War of the Gods")
Annal Nathrakh's "The Final Absolution" among others
these are the ones just came to my mind right now.
Sabaton: *Primo Victoria*, Cliffs of Gallipoli, Uprising, panzerkampf, The Art of War, Rise of Evil (a ton of their stuff is based on wars)
Iron Maiden: Paschendale, Aces High (Battle of Britain), The Legacy
Alice in Chains: Rooster (Vietnam(
There's a lot, but the main ones i'd recommend are Primo Victoria (D-day) or Panzerkampf (battle of Kursk and the Soviet Charge) by Sabaton. If you're still doing the project, a good one represnting media/ individuals would be "Rise of Evil" (Hitler and the rise of Germany before WW2).
Iron Maiden - Paschendale
Motorhead - 1916
Most of Mayhem's Grand Declaration Of War and Iron Maiden's A Matter Of Life And Death
Amd more vaguely, Sinergy's Beware The Heavens and Lead Us To War.

Hello,
if u are interested in metal songs with hstorical background and topics about wa, look at the band Sabaton. they are from sweden and their lyrics are mostly about ww2 or ww1. they are swedish gods of music!
This is not really metal, "just" a punk rock band, and its a cover version of traditional original, but i say, i havent heard better anti-war lament...such a brilliant and strong-appealing lyrics + the arrangement did by Dropkick Murphys...there are many anti-war songs, there are many songs about WW1, but "Green Fields Of France" are on the top
p.s. possibly Aussie's "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" can compete with this, but still losing
